Being Holy

July 31, 2013 Leave a comment

The bible says we need to live Holy as God is holy and we need to be like Him.

1 Peter 1 :14-16 (NLT)

14 So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then.15 But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. 16 For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.”

Did you only recently notice that something you were doing was actually a sin?  It’s all good, God has forgiven you, but now that you know of this sin, you need to work on it, so that you can be free from it. Everyday as a christian will be a challenge, full of surprises that we need to overcome and that we do not expect. But we have Someone to rely on and His name is Jesus.  He is one step ahead of us and knows what lies around the corner, we just need to ask Him to give us the wisdom, knowledge and strength to overcome it and initially staying Holy in His presence. I know it’s not easy, but if we feast on God’s Word, we will be able to overcome any obstacle the world throws at us!

Do you want to be Holy?  Just ask God to fill you and help you stand up straight!

AND Pray the following prayer:

*****************************

Dear Father, I admit that I am a sinner,

But I know that You will forgive me.

Father, please fill my heart with Your presence

so that I can overcome any evil that arises in my life,

Fill me with wisdom, love, strength and hope

so that I can carry on everyday doing Your Will!

I want to be Holy, but I know that I need You for that

so please guide me on the path to Holiness and do not let

me stray from it!

In Your Holy Name, Jesus Christ, I say AMEN.

*****************************

Be Blessed family

Seeking God

July 29, 2013 2 comments

Do you feel empty everyday? Feeling like you do not have energy to get through? Feeling anxious ? Alone? Scared?

Well there’s a way out!

You just need to seek after it:

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.”

— Matthew 7:7-8

We easily talk to God about things we want and need, but do we remember to open your heart to God, and seek His grace, love and patience? No, we need to build a personal relationship with Him.  When we start seeking an intimate relationship with God, we will enter into His presence, and all our problems mentioned above will fade away.  We are allowed to ask for things, but it’s not always the “things” that are important as they will be staying behind when we go to heaven… It’s more important to make sure YOU go to heaven when you die, as the “things” don’t follow you to hell either.

It’s so important to surround you with things of God, so that the things of the world stay out of you.  If you are filled with Christ, there won’t be room for anxiety, fatigue, depression, hopelessness etc to enter.

How do we do this? Very easily…

Eat the word of God.  Make a point of reading the bible everyday.  Try reading it every time you physically eat.

Pray. Prayer is key to building a relationship with God.  If you never phone your friend or communicate with him/her in any way, don’t you start to see him/her fade out of your life?  It’s the same with God(He never leaves us, but you do open up for other things to enter).

Praise and worship! singing gospel songs!

Have a blessed week! May you be filled with God’s presence!

The Glory train is coming fast! – Prophecy by Lion Bites

July 22, 2013 Leave a comment

I would like to share a prophecy that I read today :

You can go and read it on the actual link if you would like to by clicking HERE

I saw a train coming very, very fast… it is approaching…

The Spirit of the Lord is saying:
‘My train of Glory is coming fast. Are you ready and positioned to board it when it comes? For it will be here soon. Position yourself on the platform, be ready, wait patiently – for My Glory train is penetrating the Earth’s atmosphere and about to hit the Earth itself. Be ready! Be alert!

Now is not the time to be sitting about wondering if I will fulfill My promises and Words on the Earth – I have fulfilled them and I am fulfilling. Move into position – in and by faith – to catch My Glory train. Be eagerly expectant for what is to come – you have no idea what it will look like for no one on this Earth had seen or heard what form it will take… but be expectant – for I am releasing My Glory train.’

I see a number of people in position on the train platform already and a number in the turnstile leading to the platform. I see a number walking towards the platform. But there are still more individuals in their homes – in the safe/comfortable place; they are eating, watching TV, speaking to friends; doing the ordinary things…. yet they are distracted; they are missing the timing and they are missing the importance of positioning themselves for this train of God’s Glory.

Do not miss it! Prepare and position for its arrival. For the time of preparation is here!

This is very relevant to Matthew 25 : (NLT)

Parable of the Ten Bridesmaids

25 “Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten bridesmaids who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. The five who were foolish didn’t take enough olive oil for their lamps, but the other five were wise enough to take along extra oil. When the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

“At midnight they were roused by the shout, ‘Look, the bridegroom is coming! Come out and meet him!’

“All the bridesmaids got up and prepared their lamps. Then the five foolish ones asked the others, ‘Please give us some of your oil because our lamps are going out.’

“But the others replied, ‘We don’t have enough for all of us. Go to a shop and buy some for yourselves.’

10 “But while they were gone to buy oil, the bridegroom came. Then those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was locked. 11 Later, when the other five bridesmaids returned, they stood outside, calling, ‘Lord! Lord! Open the door for us!’

12 “But he called back, ‘Believe me, I don’t know you!’

13 “So you, too, must keep watch! For you do not know the day or hour of my return.

This is so true, people think that they are ready for the day that Jesus comes back, but in actual fact they are chilling at home in front of the tv.  That’s not where God wants us.  He wants us out there fishing for souls.

And I’m not just preaching this, I need to do this myself as well, as I also rather watch a movie or play a game rather than to study the Bible or blog etc.

The prophetic word above made me realize this today and I even decided to stop playing my favorite game which I was looking forward to play after my exam period.  We need to cut the things that consume unnecessary time and use the time we have spreading the gospel!

Be courageous and be READY!

Jesus Loves You!

Proverbs 3 : 3 -4 Trusting in God

July 17, 2013 Leave a comment

Proverbs 3: 3-4 (NLT)click here for further reading.

Never let loyalty and kindness leave you!
Tie them around your neck as a reminder.
Write them deep within your heart.
Then you will find favor with both God and people,
and you will earn a good reputation.

We do not always know whats going on inside another  person, so we will not know why they are doing what they are. How often do you find someone who asks you for help, and you ignore them as you immediately assume that they are going to beg or try to scam you?  But perhaps they are just trying to ask you for help?

I use to do this myself, but realized that it’s not always a bad thing to stop and listen for  1 min (only 60 seconds) .  I was in my car when someone approached my window, I immediately assumed that he was going to beg or try selling something to me, but luckily I fought against my flesh and opened the window.  He came to tell me that God has a great future for me and that I must go and read Colossians to find God’s Will for my life!  And to think that If I was allowing my flesh to take over not opening my window and just carrying on with what I was doing I would have missed God speaking to me through a random guy!!! (true story!!)

God is such a loving, caring and precious Father to us.  I cannot imagine life without Him!  He sent His only Son to die on the cross for our sins, and yet He still sends us blessings everyday, as if sending His only Son wasn’t enough already???

Always be kind to one another, this is all we need to survive in this cruel and vicious world.  Be loyal to one another so that we can depend on each other when there is a need.  This is one of the most important things God wants us to do.  It’s part of the most important commandment.

Matthew 22:36-40 NLT click here for more

36 “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?”

37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’40 The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”

Be Blessed family!

Always put God’s armor over you and your family everyday! Ephesians 6 : 12-18 !!!

Allowing God’s water of life to flow

July 16, 2013 Leave a comment

Weeds are commonly known all over the world and it’s generally unwanted in every garden…

Weeds interfere with other plants by:

  • competing with the desired plants for the resources that a plant typically needs, namely, direct sunlight, soil nutrients, water, and space for growth
  • providing hosts and vectors for plant pathogens, giving them greater opportunity to infect and degrade the quality of the desired plants
  • providing food or shelter for animal pests such as seed-eating birds and fruit flies that otherwise could hardly survive seasonal shortages
  • causing root damage to engineering works such as drains, road surfaces, and foundations, blocking streams and rivulets.

(I got this from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weed)

So the above explains that if you have weeds in your garden, it means your garden will not be able to grow to its full potential, due to the lack of resources etc…

When you water your plants, the weeds take all the water.

When the sun comes out, the weeds cover your plants and steal all the light

Your plants struggle to grow due to the space constraints in the soil.

And much more…

This is the same in our lives.  You can read the Bible and pray etc, but if you do not make an effort to get rid of all the weeds in your life you wont ever grow and be as great as your suppose to be.

We need to get rid of all the evil in our lives.  And I’m not just saying this to all of you, I also need to work on this.  There’s nobody that does not have any weeds in their garden.

When you overcome one thing, you realize there’s another or a new weed growing.  As long as we serve God, the Almighty and Great God, we will always be attacked by satan.  But never fear when Jesus is near! He WILL always be by your side defending you from all evil.  We just need to always make sure we get some of that living water!

John 4:13-14 (NLT)

13 Jesus replied, “Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. 14 But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.”

Have a great week !

Be firm in your faith and you will succeed !
