Important things we forget about

June 21, 2013 Leave a comment

If you think about it, you will realize that we take car brakes for granted.  You never think about it, or take into consideration how important they are.  Just imagine how much chaos there would have been if we did not have brakes in our cars.  There would be accidents left, right and center… When you drive and you need to brake quickly, one does it but immediately afterwards you forget about the brakes and just continue driving.

This is the same with the Holy spirit for some of us, His there, but we don’t appreciate Him as much.  When trouble arises His always there to helps us out and we use Him but as soon as the trouble goes away we forget about Him and go on with our sins.  We need to start appreciating the important things in life.  Just like with no brakes, imagine what life would be like if there was no Holy Spirit…

I hope this means something to you.  I’m sure it will as it was meant for someone.

Be Blessed! Have a great weekend! Tell someone Jesus loves them!

Proverbs 2: 20-22 – The RIGHT way..

June 17, 2013 Leave a comment

Good Evening all,

Read the below verse:

Proverbs 2: 20-22 (NLT)

20 Follow the steps of good men instead,
and stay on the paths of the righteous.
21 For only the godly will live in the land,
and those with integrity will remain in it.
22 But the wicked will be removed from the land,
and the treacherous will be uprooted.

Have you ever heard the phrase “The wheel turns”? Well, if you haven’t, it’s a saying that one uses to tell someone that the things they are doing will come back to them.  Like when you love giving to people, you will receive abundantly, because all the “giving” comes back to you through other sources. And in a negative way, all the bad you do to others, will eventually come back to you.

The verse above really associates to this.  I looked up a few other verses as well:

Matthew 6: 14-15 (NLT)

14 “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you.

15 But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.

1 Peter 3: 9 (NLT)

Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will bless you for it.

Luke 6: 38 (NLT)

38 Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.

You always see people living abundantly, rich, successful, etc. But then eventually they fall into a pit where trouble hits them.  These are people who invested in the easy way of doing the wrong things to get to the top, but then eventually, the wheel turned all the way around and everything came back to them harder than what they dished out. The wheel sometimes takes longer and sometimes it comes around quick, but it comes around eventually and most of the time its unexpected.

My point is, stay on the righteous path no matter what because that is the only way you will stay in the Holy land with God by your side.

Go read up some more on the above scriptures and spend time with God and ask Him to show you what you need to do.

Go and make disciples.  Blessings upon thee. Amen.

Shine Bright

June 12, 2013 2 comments No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.

How often do we accept God into our lives but do not show it afterwards?

We should let everyone know about the good news! If you read tje whole chapter you will see God says he blesses those that are mocked!

Peace to all!

Leaving behind the past

June 4, 2013 2 comments

Lets put the story of the Israelite’s that were taken out of Egypt into context:

When they were in Egypt they were slaves, doing whatever the king of Egypt told them to do.  They were working extremely hard, paying high taxes, not allowed to serve whom they wanted etc 0_0

So the living standards were pretty hectic, yet when God took them out of Egypt they started wishing they stayed in Egypt… Because there they had some food and a house etc.

This happens in our daily lives as well. We moan about our conditions, then God comes and takes us out of it, but now we need to start doing extra(building relationship with God, going to Church, reading the Bible, stop drinking, stop smoking etc etc…) and we wish we never asked for help…

We cannot expect God to do everything for us and just lay back and take everything.  He has done soooo much already that we do not even deserve anything else.  We didn’t even deserve the Cross..  But He loved us so much that He sacrificed His only Son for OUR sins… I mean really.. who else would do that…

My point is, that if we want something from God, we need to take action and go through tribulations in order to get to the blessings. God will never put you through something if He knows you won’t make it through… Put your faith in Him and you will prosper.

John 5:5-9 NIV

Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for one of the Jewish festivals.  Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades.  Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed.  One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years.  When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?”

“Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.”

Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked.

In the above scripture you can read that this man did not get healed in 38 years… mmm, really? Could he not have made a plan in 38 years?  You see, it was nice for him to sit there and beg for money, food etc.  Jesus instructed him to STAND UP in order to get healed.  So if he kept on sitting he would not have received the healing…  We need to take action before we can get results.  God will always be there to help us, but it’s not His fault if nothing happens, if we’re the ones not doing anything..

Throw away your past and look ahead.  You can break free from your past, you just need to ask God to show you the road and start walking it. He will equip you with the right shoes, water bottle, hat and food for the trip. But you need to TAKE the trip in order to get there, otherwise the gear God gives you renders useless.

I hope this inspired you, as it really got me going!

Be Blessed and be a Blessing
