Going to God

November 30, 2012 Leave a comment

http://bible.us/Heb4.16.NLT So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. We tend to forget about God when we start worrying about things in our lives. Like when you go into exams at the end of a semester… one would start thinking about what will be in the tests etc, but sometimes forget to trust in God to help you study and remember the work. I just finished exams and I know that even I would start worrying, but when you realize that you need to pray and out trust in God, all the fear starts fading away and you start to concetrate on more important aspects… Have a blessed Christmas holiday. And remember, its not just about getting gifts (I knoooow its fun) , but its more about celebrating Christ’s birthday. Be kind to each other, get into His presence and enjoy the day!

One word – Faith

http://bible.us/Ezek37.3.NLT 3 Then he asked me, “Son of man, can these bones become living people again?” “O Sovereign LORD,” I replied, “you alone know the answer to that.” 4 Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to these bones and say, ‘Dry bones, listen to the word of the LORD!5 This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Look! I am going to put breath into you and make you live again!6 I will put flesh and muscles on you and cover you with skin. I will put breath into you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’” 7 So I spoke this message, just as he told me. Suddenly as I spoke, there was a rattling noise all across the valley. The bones of each body came together and attached themselves as complete skeletons.8 Then as I watched, muscles and flesh formed over the bones. Then skin formed to cover their bodies, but they still had no breath in them. We need to be like this. When God tells us to do something in faith, we should not hesitate to do it. We serve a great God dont we? Short but powerful (or atleast for me it was) Be blessed family!!

Resisting evil

November 15, 2012 1 comment

http://bible.us/Jas4.7.NLT So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Howmany times a day do you get tempted? And you would say no to yourself but it would keep on tempting you until you do it…. have you ever said a prayer in order to cast away the temptation? Everytime you get tempted, call out the name of Jesus until the temptation goes away as the devil will realise that he is wasting his time and leaves you alone. The devil will always try and capture you. Especially when you are close to God, because he knows how powerful the power of Jesus can be in you!! Always stay in prayer for yourself and others around you. Ephesians 6:18… Be blessed!

Making the right decisions

November 7, 2012 Leave a comment

We make decisions everyday. The decisions we make will determine our future. Yes you know that… But have you ever thought about it in a spiritual way?

Do you sometimes do things to others, that if you were to be on the receiving hand, you would not appreciate it if you knew about it?  Or do things that other would not approve of?  There’s a scripture that tells us that these things will come back to us.  Be it something good we’ve done or bad.

Like cheating someone in order to make more money out of something that you sold to them.  You might someday start a business and end up not making profits, due to your past mistakes.  Now I know God forgives all, but if you remember one of my previous blogs where we spoke about forgiveness, you would know that God is also a just (fair) God and the devil will come along and tell God that His child has sinned and justice must me served…. (But you can read more on that in my previous blog)

Colossians 3:22-25.  Sources (Bible Gateway)

23 Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. 24 Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.25 But if you do what is wrong, you will be paid back for the wrong you have done. For God has no favorites.

Do not do to others that which you would not have done to you
