Spreading the Word

Deuteronomy 4:7 King James Version (KJV)

For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon him for?

How often do we pray and ask God to help us with something we need or want, and keep on praying persistently, but when we receive it we forget about the time spent asking for it…

We can use these things as encouragement with others when they feel down and helpless.  God loves all of us dearly and He is always there in everything that we have and need.  We must just ask Him for it.  Start telling people about the blessing you received in your life and tell them what you went through in order to receive them.  This glorifies God for His works and it encourages people to start spending time with Him…

it’s what people always say : hitting two birds with one stone 🙂

Have a great weekend!
Be blessed!

Forgiving others

Matt 18:21-22 and on… (NLT)

Parable of the Unforgiving Debtor

21 Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someonewho sins against me? Seven times?”

22 “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven!

I do not think there is anything else that tests and practices our patience like the above verse… Basically every time somebody bumps into you while you walk in the mall or swirls in front of you while driving on the highway, you need to forgive them, because Jesus Will forgive you every time…  How selfish of us if we cannot for”give “, but we expect forgiveness from God?

If you read further down the chapter, you will see that we will not enter heaven the day we go there if we cannot forgive our fellow brothers and sisters from within our hearts.  Now as a christian, I do not want to get a surprise one day when I get to heaven and I’m not allowed to enter due to unforgiving hatred in my heart.  It’s really just awkward for a few seconds when you forgive someone, but afterwards you carry on as if nothing has happened and you end up feeling better…  hatred and things like stress can really get a person down.  And when you release yourself from these things you feel energized.  I think our hearts are made to contain love, kindness, grace etc not to be overloaded with hatred, anger, sin etc.  So many people pass away and you find out that they could not forgive someone for something or never made peace with certain people. I do not know about you, but I think it’s that last verse in Matthew 18:35 that takes place in such a situation.
Remember, God is a just God, and if He said He will punish us if we do not forgive, He has to.  So the devil comes along and says; “God, you know that Jakes has not forgiven Mnr. Pietie for something he did to him…. You said that you will punish your people if they cannot forgive…”  Then God has to allow it…

You wont get healing from cancer or any other sickness when you carry remorse in your heart, because Go’s Word says He will punish us if we do not forgive one another…

I know this is a tough piece of meat to take a bite of, but it’s necessary to talk about these things…

Be patient and love one another.

Always walk in the light, then you will not have to fear the things in the darkness as they cannot hide in the light!

Guide to use on non believers

October 8, 2012 Leave a comment

God gave me this guide to use when trying to convince people about the truth of God’s Word (The Bible), and I was told to share it with everyone.

It’s a very easy 3 step guide to get someone to really think about their decision of not believing in Jesus and His Word.

Step 1:

Ask the person if they believe that a human being can see into the future.  If they say yes, (which is unlikely because how do they prove it?) You then ask them who can, and can they prove it to you…

If they say No. then you continue to the next step.

Step 2:

You talk to them about all these sudden disasters happening all around the world these last few years, like for example, in South Africa it’s not common for tornado’s to appear in the middle of the country. In fact anywhere in the country.  But in the past year there’s been two already…  Then talk about the economy that’s falling apart.  Even strong countries like Europe and the US are starting to feel the pressure and falling into recession. The person will then obviously agree because it’s true.

Step 3:

Then you ask them, “if you believe nobody can predict the future like in STEP 1, then how do you think the people who wrote the Bible about 4000 years ago knew about the disasters that were sitting with presently?” And you direct the person to the last book in the Bible known as Revelations…

There they talk about all the problems we are facing today. How can one not believe in the Bible after seeing proof of something being predicted many years ago by normal humans?

Let them go read Revelations and decide for themselves what they want to believe.

The first verse in revelations says the following :

Revelations 1:1-3 (NLT)

1 This is a revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants the events that must soon take place. He sent an angel to present this revelation to his servant John, who faithfully reported everything he saw. This is his report of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

God blesses the one who reads the words of this prophecy to the church, and he blesses all who listen to its message and obey what it says, for the time is near.

I trust this will work, just remember to always ask God for His presence, Wisdom and Knowledge before talking to someone in this manner so that God can lead you wherever you need to go with the conversation.  As I don’t think this is the final and only way you can convince them, but this is what works for me and what God gave me to use.

Be Blessed family!

The grapes within us

October 8, 2012 Leave a comment

To make wine, you grow the grapes,  harvest them when they are ripe and then take them through the proses of fermentation etc…

Now this is a difficult example for me to use in the blog but I got it from The Man above so here goes:

We all have a “grapevine” inside of us, and it’s our decision how we grow and use it.  Now if you choose to continue with watering the grapes they will grow and eventually you can turn them into wine.  Now  to explain this in our daily lives I’m trying to say, if you continue to sin (watering) the sin will grow into something very strong and end up taking everything from you.  Now what I mean by this in the wine example : wine is alcohol and if one abuses alcohol too much you end up losing your job, family and life…

And if you choose to let the grapevine dry out a bit, the grapes you have on it will end up turning into raisins which are healthy for one’s body, this means if you stop feeding your life with sin and drying out the sin in your life you end up being healthier and doing the right things.  The drying out process would be spending time with God by reading the Bible and praying.

Romans 6:12-13 (NLT)

12 Do not let sin control the way you live;  do not give in to sinful desires. 13 Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.

This was a very hard topic for me to use, but I trust and believe every topic God sends, is meant for someone.

Be Blessed!
