Peace through prayer

March 23, 2013 Leave a comment

We often walk around with such heavy burdens on our shoulders, it might be anything, big or small. It keeps us worrying for days, weeks or even months.

This also keeps us from the more important things in life like God, our families, friends and happiness. The most important of these is God. He can help us with anything, we just need to give it to Him, but we tend to forget and only realize this when we hit bottom.

satan likes giving us these problems because it drives us away from the important things and this makes him happy as he has then accomplished his mission in this world.

BUT, we can overcome everything through Christ who lives within us.

God tells us in the bible that we do not need to worry about the things in this world, we must give it to Him and it will be sorted out, we can send any prayer request to Him as there is nothing He cannot do.

Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

God loved us so that he gave His only Son to come and set us free. Doesn’t that tell you that we serve a God that would do anything for you? Isn’t that great news?

Be blessed and stay in prayer continuously!

God’s Face and not His hands

March 14, 2013 Leave a comment

I know the title sounds funny, but you will shortly understand why I chose that title.

Most of the time that we spend with God, we always tend to ask for things, we discuss whats wrong, whats our feelings, what we want and what we need.  Yes you can do all of that.  God loves us dearly and wants to be there for us.  But try to see God’s face, and not just His hands (asking for things), go to Him as His child, and build a relationship with Him. Firstly He deserves it…and secondly we need it much more than the worldly temptations/problems we have.

We almost never cancel our doctor, dentist or even business appointments, but we do not keep to a schedule with God.  He is the most important factor in our lives, yet we do not schedule time for Him everyday.  If you were running a business, you would need to tend to it in order to make sure that you always have stock of everything, your employees are all happy and that your business keeps on making a profit…

It’s the same with God, we need to stay in touch with Him everyday in order to make sure we stay alive inside.  He is our source of energy.  Like a car needs fuel to run, we need God to run. Without God we are stranded in this world, we wont be able to go to new heights without His wisdom & knowledge.

Challenge:

Try and set up a time in everyday that you dedicate to God.  It doesn’t need to be a specific time everyday.

Look at your schedule and plan it accordingly.  It also does not need to be a specific time, you will know in your heart what time is needed on that specific day.

And the main challenge to this is, stick to it no matter what!

1 Peter 2:2

New Living Translation (NLT)

Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation.

Cry out for this nourishment

Psalm 119:105

105 Your word is a lamp to guide my feet
and a light for my path.

With God and His word by our side, we cannot fall.

Be Blessed all!

Proverbs 1: 20-33 Wisdom Shouts in the Streets

March 6, 2013 Leave a comment

Hi all,

Wisdom Shouts in the Streets… We often sit in a situation where we need to make a difficult decision about our lives. And like the below verse states it, we always know of the right/correct choice and then the “not so right/correct” choice. haha.  Wisdom will always be there to guide us, we just need to take what wisdom gives us and use it.  But that’s not always the easy choice as the path may seem harder and more complicated to accomplish, but always remember that this is God’s way of preparing us for even greater challenges and accomplishments, we eagerly always look for the easy way out of situations, and that unfortunately leads to a very narrow and dark path where you sit with problems that you cannot overcome.

By choosing the world and not God’s way, you basically tell God that His knowledge is not good enough and that you know better.  Now if you think you do, what will happen next week? You don’t know, do you? 🙂 And guess what.. God can get that info easier than what it is for you to blink once…

I have an example, Let’s say you pray for a house bond, and you ask God to bless you with a 9% interest bond, and that if you do not get a 9% bond, you know it’s a sign from God that you should not buy that house or buy any house at this moment.  So you phone the bank and they give you a 10% bond.  You push hard and get them to take it down to 9.8%, now you really push and they tell you the lowest they can go is 9.2%, so you think because you got them to go down 0.8% that’s a blessing.. but in actual fact you are only taking the easy way out by believing in your own capabilities and telling God He cannot supply you with a 9% and that it’s okay that He could only give you a 9.2%.  I mean really.  God can get you a 5%, but you only asked for a 9% so that’s what you would have received if you were suppose to.  If you did not get it, you either did not have enough faith, or God knew that it wasn’t the right time for a house…

Please study the chapter below: Proverbs 1:20-33 (NLT) HERE

20 Wisdom shouts in the streets.
She cries out in the public square.
21 She calls to the crowds along the main street,
to those gathered in front of the city gate:
22 “How long, you simpletons,
will you insist on being simpleminded?
How long will you mockers relish your mocking?
How long will you fools hate knowledge?
23 Come and listen to my counsel.
I’ll share my heart with you
and make you wise.

24 “I called you so often, but you wouldn’t come.
I reached out to you, but you paid no attention.
25 You ignored my advice
and rejected the correction I offered.
26 So I will laugh when you are in trouble!
I will mock you when disaster overtakes you—
27 when calamity overtakes you like a storm,
when disaster engulfs you like a cyclone,
and anguish and distress overwhelm you.

28 “When they cry for help, I will not answer.
Though they anxiously search for me, they will not find me.
29 For they hated knowledge
and chose not to fear the Lord.
30 They rejected my advice
and paid no attention when I corrected them.
31 Therefore, they must eat the bitter fruit of living their own way,
choking on their own schemes.
32 For simpletons turn away from me—to death.
Fools are destroyed by their own complacency.
33 But all who listen to me will live in peace,
untroubled by fear of harm.”

Be Blessed, And share this with other please.

http://bible.us/116/gal5.22-23.nlt But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! These are probably the most important things we need to pray for every day, if everyone had the above characteristics the world would be in harmony. Try using these tools everyday and you will see a difference in your life. Always praise God for you blessings. Be blessed
