Grace of God

September 28, 2011 4 comments

Always remember that Grace is a gift from God, Grace basically means  the infinite love, mercy, favor, and goodwill shown to humankind by God.

God will always love you, no matter what you have done, and then His got the mercy to forgive you for it, and after all of that He will still let you overflow with his favor!  Who else will do that for you?

Jonah 4:1-11

This change of plans greatly upset Jonah, and he became very angry. So he complained to the Lord about it: “Didn’t I say before I left home that you would do this, Lord? That is why I ran away to Tarshish! I knew that you are a merciful and compassionate God, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. You are eager to turn back from destroying people.Just kill me now, Lord! I’d rather be dead than alive if what I predicted will not happen.”

The Lord replied, “Is it right for you to be angry about this?”

Then Jonah went out to the east side of the city and made a shelter to sit under as he waited to see what would happen to the city. And the Lord God arranged for a leafy plant to grow there, and soon it spread its broad leaves over Jonah’s head, shading him from the sun. This eased his discomfort, and Jonah was very grateful for the plant.

But God also arranged for a worm! The next morning at dawn the worm ate through the stem of the plant so that it withered away. And as the sun grew hot, God arranged for a scorching east wind to blow on Jonah. The sun beat down on his head until he grew faint and wished to die. “Death is certainly better than living like this!” he exclaimed.

Then God said to Jonah, “Is it right for you to be angry because the plant died?”

“Yes,” Jonah retorted, “even angry enough to die!”

Then the Lord said, “You feel sorry about the plant, though you did nothing to put it there. It came quickly and died quickly. But Nineveh has more than 120,000 people living in spiritual darkness, not to mention all the animals. Shouldn’t I feel sorry for such a great city?”

We need to show grace to other people around us, no matter what the circumstances are.  Because the people in Nineveh also sinned, but God showed them grace.  Lets start showing grace to people around us, and see what happens, maybe one day you will need grace, and you will receive it. Showing grace can change a life.

Go well family in Christ.

Jesus loves YOU! 🙂

Patience in our lifes

September 27, 2011 Leave a comment

I had an experience today where I had to have a lot of patience. So it made me think of all the people who don’t practice it. When starting something we need to endure and have the patience to finish it, for the Bible says “finishing is better than starting”.  After finishing something you always feel proud and good about it.

We need to have patience when it  comes to God as well.  We ask God for things to happen and if it doesn’t happen in a week’s time, we stop asking for it, or we question God.  But God is patience…. so we need to be patient as well.

Ecclesiastes 7:8

Finishing is better than starting, Patience is better than pride.

Proverbs 25:15

Patience can persuade a prince, and soft speech can break bones.

These verses tell me that patience can be used for achieving great things.  Even in my own life, I’ve noticed that when I am patient for a answer from Jesus, the results are normally awesome!

God knows you even before you are born

September 26, 2011 1 comment

Hi all,

We sometimes we don’t know what direction to go, and we feel like there’s no future for us. But God says in the Bible that he knew us before we were born.  His got an amazing plan for us all.  The things that come on our road will be changed for the good, we must just ask God.

Jeremiah 1:5

I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.  Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.

God’s got a unique purpose for all of us.  Don’t let your friends/family change your future by following in their steps(if it’s bad).  Trust in Jesus, and he will lead you through your life.

Have a great day!

The work we do for Jesus

September 14, 2011 Leave a comment

It says the following in 1 Corinthians 3:8-15

The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work. For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building. Because of God’s grace to me, I have laid the foundation like an expert builder. Now others are building on it. But whoever is building on this foundation must be very careful. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ.  Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials—gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value. If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames.

God designed all of us for a purpose and we need to spend time with God in order to reveal this plan that His got for us.  Our rewards in heaven all depend on how much effort we put into the plan that God designed for us. We need to start trusting the voice of God, even when it sounds silly, or crazy. We need to get serious about God, and do what he wants us to do. Even after Jesus went on the cross for OUR sins, God is still going to give us rewards in heaven for what we did for Him on earth. Nothing can be TOO difficult if we ask God for help.

I bet we all want to build our foundation with jewels and gold, but it’s not always easy. They always say in business, the higher the risk, the higher the return on investment.  So for us to get the “good stuff” we need to do the difficult things.

Enjoy the evening. Jesus loves us all!

Standing in God’s shadow

September 13, 2011 Leave a comment

Good evening all,

We had sel tonight, and while we were worshiping God, He(God/Holy spirit) showed me safety tethers on a boat keeping the sailors from drifting away when they fall off the boat in huge storms.  God wanted me to know that even though we go through big storms in our life’s, he  will never let us go. His got his own safety tethers around us.  So when you feel like your going through a storm, put your trust in God.  And you will prevail!!!

The bible tells us that God protects us at all times, Ill give you one of many scriptures in the bible:

Psalm 91:1-3:

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High

will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

This I declare about the Lord:

He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;

he is my God, and I trust him.

For he will rescue you from every trap

and protect you from deadly disease.

And it just gets better the further you read.  So before going to bed tonight, go read the rest of the chapter.

Give everything you have on your shoulder to God, his The Expert on solving problems.

Be blessed!

Growing, in Christ, like Bamboo

September 12, 2011 Leave a comment

a Bamboo grove in Kyoto Japan.

As I was praying about today’s post, God showed me a picture of a bamboo in my mind.

I did some research on bamboo, and it’s quite fascinating.  Some Bamboo species are capable of growing 100cm’s in 24 hours.

But this all depends on the soil they are in…

So this made me think. We as Christians tend to mingle with people from the “world” or do “worldly” things, now this can be seen as the type of soil we are planted in.  Obviously this cant be good for our growth/relationship with Jesus.  It’s going to hinder our growth…  So be careful when you make decisions in your life, it may stop you from growing.  And by now you probably know that when you are on fire for Jesus, satan isn’t far away with his bucket of water…

Choose your “soil” carefully because that is what’s going to determine your growth in Jesus.

Ephesians 1:4 :

Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.

God has a plan for everyone, even for the ones to come, so live your life to the fullest, but with God by your side , and you will be safe at all times!

We need to be flexible and durable like bamboo in order to get to the top of the journey with God.  So even when you go through trials and tribulation, don’t despair, because Jesus will be there! 🙂

Have a great evening all! May you be filled with the Love and Grace of our Father in Heaven!

AMEN!
