Earthly things

May 29, 2012 Leave a comment

In my morning prayer time, God showed me that we should not clutch onto earthly things and be picky about the things we have. In my personal life as well, I got lost in pushing to earn more money and buying better stuff, but I’ve realized that those things are not important.  They break and better versions come out every month.  So whats the point, you work hard to buy something , just so that after a month you will not be satisfied, AGAIN… because now you’re pushing to earn more money in order to get something else you WANT.

We need to invest in the tangible things that we wont need to update or upgrade… God, Our family, friends and people who need Jesus.  These are the things that matter, and these things will give us REAL internal satisfaction, and above this, God wants us to invest in Him and His children. –> Matthew 28:19:

Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

But back to the core of this blog, God is trying to show us to stop focusing on having the best.  We are already blessed even if others can’t see it through the things we are “blessed” with.  Yes, you may be blessed financially but you do not need to show people you are blessed by buying fancy things etc. We focus too much on earthly things.  Jesus took a donkey (which is seen as a very shy, weak animal compared to a horse) that was not even His, and rode it across town, and still, people were praising Him and shouting His glorious name.  Jesus still looked important and amazing even though he was riding on a donkey that nobody used…

Mark 11:2-3 and on if you want to read the rest… (NLT)

 “Go into that village over there,” he told them. “As soon as you enter it, you will see a young donkey tied there that no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks, ‘What are you doing?’ just say, ‘The Lord needs it and will return it soon.’”

Through God’s eyes

May 24, 2012 Leave a comment

While we were busy with praise and worship Tuesday night at our prayer group, God gave me a wonderful image through His eye. I will never be able to describe the image but I can explain what it means.

God sees the whole universe through His eyes, and knows what is happening to everything every second of the day.  Do not be afraid of what awaits you around the corner,  God knows, and He will be with you all the way.

Psalm 5:12 (NLT)

For you bless the godly, O Lord;
you surround them with your shield of love.

Hebrews 13:20 -21 (NLT)

Now may the God of peace—
who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus,
the great Shepherd of the sheep,
and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood—
 may he equip you with all you need
for doing his will.
May he produce in you,
    through the power of Jesus Christ,
every good thing that is pleasing to him.
All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.

God wont put you in a situation if you’re not suppose to be there… If you allow God to produce within you everything that is pleasing towards Him, then how can anything harm you?  You might go through some troublesome times but it’s to reach the good stuff that awaits you around the corner…

Be Blessed family. Carry your cross everyday.

Refilling your spirit

May 23, 2012 Leave a comment

As I was sitting in the car today talking to God, a car stopped in front of me and they had an air freshener hanging in their car.  God told me that our spirits are like air fresheners, they give off a nice and strong smell when you buy them, but after a while they dry out and the smell fades away, if you keep it close to your nose, you can still smell the fragrance a little, but not enough to fill your car with it.  When we first give our hearts to God we are overwhelmed and we talk to people about Him, pray, fast and go to church.  But then a few things pop up which prevents us from refilling ourselves, and our fragrance starts to fade away.  The smell I was referring to that still stays on the mechanism when it’s dried out, means that God is still with us even-though we spend less time with Him, we just do not feel Him in us anymore.  So refill yourselves, make some time for God again.

Proverbs 4:23-27 (NLT)

Guard your heart above all else,
for it determines the course of your life.

 Avoid all perverse talk;
stay away from corrupt speech.

 Look straight ahead,
and fix your eyes on what lies before you.
 Mark out a straight path for your feet;
stay on the safe path.
 Don’t get sidetracked;
keep your feet from following evil.

God loves you dearly, His our Father.  Best one you could ask for 🙂

Be Blessed and share the gospel!

Portraying a good future

Romans 11:16 (NLT)

And since Abraham and the other patriarchs were holy, their descendants will also be holy—just as the entire batch of dough is holy because the portion given as an offering is holy. For if the roots of the tree are holy, the branches will be, too.

This verse can be used for a couple of reasons but I just want to emphasize on the fact that it says, “If the roots of the tree are holy, the branches will be, too.”

We all start our decisions in life as babies when we are born, and our choices while growing up determines what we will be in the future, is that not true? And so it is with young new-born Christians, what we do in our spiritual lives will determine where we end up when we die, Heaven or hell…  I just want to encourage you to start listening to God’s voice and trying to obey His voice once or more each day.  He might not speak to you everyday but when He does, you should be openly ready to receive and over achieve in His goal.  I know it’s difficult, sometimes I receive messages that I need to blog about for instance on a Monday, but I only end up blogging about it on the Wednesday… one always seem ready to take on something with the extra free time we have, until God gives you something, then everything seems to need your attention, and that’s satan trying to keep you from doing God’s Will.

I trust this was encouraging, as I did not even intent on typing this much, but if God gives it, I type it! There’s always a reason for it.

Be blessed!

And don’t forget to take The Lords hand when your cross the street!

Medical Kit

May 9, 2012 Leave a comment

You know when you cut yourselves while chopping carrots, or  your shoes are new and they give you blisters?  Well you then normally get it cleaned up, put some anti-bacterial ointment onto it and put a band-aid on, right? Well that’s what our parents normally did for us…

If you don’t, you end up getting infection in the wound…

That’s how we are with God.  When were sad, angry, in a bad situation etc… we forget that we have our very own anti-bacteria ointment, which is Jesus.  We then do not apply Him in our wounds (situations),  and the problem just gets bigger and bigger…

Jesus died on the cross for our sins, so that we may be free to be with Him.  That’s where He became our medical aid kit.  So, when you have sinned, when you’re in a bad situations, call out to Jesus to come and save you.  And like any other ointment or medication it does not always make you feel better immediately, it takes time sometimes.  So be patient.  God is always there with you!

Isaiah 41:13 (NLT)

For I hold you by your right hand–I, the LORD your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.

Be blessed family and remember to use your mJEdiScaUl kSit!!
