Being Children

May 21, 2013 Leave a comment

Probably everyone over the age of 30 has thought of being a child again? So that your parents can look after you again, right?

When you’re a child you do not have to worry about making dinner, doing laundry, going to a 8 to 5 job everyday and much more.  So life as a child is allot easier than being a grown up.  And the people who make it easier for us as children are our parents…

Guess what? We are all still God’s children aren’t we? So why do we need to stress about all the things of this world.  God is there to look after us and take care of everything we need. And by saying that I don’t mean you can ask God to do your laundry, but you can trust in God to get you through the day without any problems, so that when you get home and you see the pile of laundry, you still feel up to it 🙂 God will give you the strength to complete your daily tasks.  He will supply the money to buy food. He will protect you when you’re afraid. He will be there when you feel lonely. He will be there to take care of your everyday needs like a parent tends to their child.  God is our spiritual parent and we can always rely on Him 🙂

So start living life like a 6-year-old 🙂 ( Not the naughty stuff, just the freedom, excitement for each day and the love for their parent (God). )

Be Blessed and be a Blessing!

Have a great week!

Proverbs 2: 9-11 Wisdom

May 16, 2013 Leave a comment

Hi all,

It’s been a long time since I’ve blogged. I apologize for that.

Everyday we are challenged with things of this world, and it’s hard sometimes not to give in to these things.

Wisdom gives us a new pathway to follow, new vision, new dreams, new possibilities that we never thought of. We just need to take action and react on the wisdom we receive.

When we receive wisdom, knowledge comes along with it. The knowledge we receive will help us with decision-making in our daily lives and result in pure happiness.  If we make Godly decisions, we will receive Godly returns. you know the old saying, you reap what you sow…  Making the right decision will open the right doors.  Temptation will always be there to give us alternative routes/decision that look easier and sometimes even look like the right decision, but we must always stand steadfast in our God and He will always show us the thorns that will lead you astray.

Proverbs 2: 9-11 (NLT)

Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair,
and you will find the right way to go.
10 For wisdom will enter your heart,
and knowledge will fill you with joy.
11 Wise choices will watch over you.
Understanding will keep you safe.

Lets all stay in prayer for all our brothers and sisters so that we will be protected from the fiery arrows of satan.

May Love be with you and lead you into the path of grace.

Importance of Baptism

May 8, 2013 Leave a comment

I’m just re-blogging the below post. To read more, you can follow this link to the original posting CLICK HERE

I got this in my inbox, and realized the importance of this, so please share with others! Feel free to re-blog 🙂

Let’s get right to the point.  First off, water baptism does not save a Christian from the penalty for their sins.  What is it good for then?  Water baptism helps a Christian resist the temptation to sin.  Those are the two most important things a Christian needs to know about water baptism.

Question:  “Then are you going on record before the Church and God, Norm, that water baptism is not necessary for salvation?”

Answer:  Absolutely, because there is no place in the Bible where it clearly states that it is, and anyone who states differently is trying to add to Ephesians 2:8-9 as well as other Bible passages supporting Ephesians 2:8-9, whether knowingly or unknowingly.  However, water baptism it is a commandment from God for a Christian to be water baptized, if/when at all possible (and infant baptism does not count either).   Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, (make disciples of Jesus Christ of people in every nation, in other words) baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, – Matthew 28:19.  I don’t view this command by Jesus to be a suggestion.  It’s clear to me it’s a commandment.  (Also see: Acts 2:38, though many excellent Bible scholars believe and agree that Peter in this passage is referring to John’s baptism of repentance [changing the way you think and act about Godly righteousness – sinning against God – obedience to God], and NOT the water baptism immersion into Jesus Christ that Romans 6 is addressing, as I too believe there were two different water baptisms going on as Acts 19:4 is addressing).

We all know that we can ask God for things. And we all probably do so, and then when we do not get it as soon as anticipated we loose focus and stop asking. God wants us to be persistant.

Persistance is a good skill too have, so God actually helps us to improve in it so that when the bigger challenges like leading someone to God comesnalong we can be strong and persistant.

Keep on asking and knocking on the door with persistance. God WILL answer! “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

Be blessed family
