Refilling your spirit

As I was sitting in the car today talking to God, a car stopped in front of me and they had an air freshener hanging in their car.  God told me that our spirits are like air fresheners, they give off a nice and strong smell when you buy them, but after a while they dry out and the smell fades away, if you keep it close to your nose, you can still smell the fragrance a little, but not enough to fill your car with it.  When we first give our hearts to God we are overwhelmed and we talk to people about Him, pray, fast and go to church.  But then a few things pop up which prevents us from refilling ourselves, and our fragrance starts to fade away.  The smell I was referring to that still stays on the mechanism when it’s dried out, means that God is still with us even-though we spend less time with Him, we just do not feel Him in us anymore.  So refill yourselves, make some time for God again.

Proverbs 4:23-27 (NLT)

Guard your heart above all else,
for it determines the course of your life.

 Avoid all perverse talk;
stay away from corrupt speech.

 Look straight ahead,
and fix your eyes on what lies before you.
 Mark out a straight path for your feet;
stay on the safe path.
 Don’t get sidetracked;
keep your feet from following evil.

God loves you dearly, His our Father.  Best one you could ask for 🙂

Be Blessed and share the gospel!
