If you’re being mocked, be HAPPY

We often try to fit in with the different types of groups  you get in society, and it ends up changing who we really are.

If they feel that drinking is a “cool” thing, we do it…and so on.

But normally you wouldn’t drink.

That’s just an example, you can use your own scenario that you experience in your everyday life.

Be what you ARE (a child of God) and do not hesitate telling people about our God, Jesus Christ.  And what He does for you.  Be happy when people mock you about your religion, because it’s not your pride that’s being measured, it’s your faith and humbleness that Jesus wants to see in you.

Matthew 5:11-12 (NLT)

“God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.

So you see, Jesus wants us to carry His decrees with us, no matter what, and we will be rewarded for going through this humiliation, if you can call it that, due to it turning into a blessing at the end…

Be PROUD of who you are and of The One who lives within YOU!!! JESUS!

Lord, I ask that you may give us all the strength and courage to carry our cross with us everywhere we go, and that we can stand up straight and proud of WHO we are and in WHO we trust.  Amen.

Go well family!

Be Blessed!

Reminds me of Mark 13:13 “All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.”

There is also another really good verse that I just recently read that I can not find. But it listing everything you get when following the Lord. It was a list of blessings, and than the last thing on the list was persecution (or something to that matter).

    Good read, God Bless!

      Hi Joshua,

Yes I read that part in the Bible aswell, but also can’t find it NOW 😦 But I think it’s in Matthew somewhere. But I can be wrong.

And something I must add, that I realized only afterwards is that, the rewards we will get is not the reason why we should stick with God, but it’s a compassionate motivation from Him. Thanks for your comment and for reading!

Sad day! I will search in Matthew for it. It was a verse I wanted to write down and save.

Amen. If we are doing it for the rewards than we are no better than the Pharisees. The only rewards we will get is rewards on earth, and we will be missing out on the eternal rewards (Matthew 6). We most work out of the love of our Father.

No problem, great post! God Bless!
